How to Get the Fisch Gleebous Mutation<\/span><\/h3>\n

By far, the best and easiest way to catch fish with the Gleebous mutation is by using the Blade of Gorp fishing rod. But there\u2019s another method, which is simple, but may take a while.<\/p>\n

Blade of Gorp Fishing Rod<\/span><\/h4>\n

First, let\u2019s go over the best method of getting the Gleebous mutation. When using the Blade of Gorp fishing rod, you have a 23% chance of catching Gleebous fish. This mutation increases the value of the catch by 8x!<\/p>\n

While this is the easiest way of getting the Gleebous mutation, it does require you to obtain the fishing rod, which involves the completion of a few quests.<\/p>\n

Now, it\u2019s not clear if this is a permanent quest, but I doubt the Gleebous abundance spots are always going to be in Fisch. Once these abundance spots are no longer available, the Blade of Gorp rod will be the only way to get the mutation.<\/p>\n

Gleebous Abundances<\/span><\/h4>\n

The abundance spots where you\u2019re more likely to catch a Gleebous fish only spawn at Roslit Bay. It\u2019s unknown as to how often these ebundances appear, though. This method is simple in theory, but getting a fish with the Gleebous mutation this way naturally is pretty rare, with a 1.48% chance.<\/p>\n

How Do I Get the Blade of Gorp?<\/span><\/h4>\n

To get the Blade of Gorp fishing rod, you need to complete Gorp\u2019s quest. However, to unlock this quest, you have to complete Dr Crookspine\u2019s quests, too.<\/p>\n

After working through Dr Crookspine\u2019s quests, you unlock the Translator, which you can use to communicate with Glorp. Once you unlock Glorp\u2019s quest, you need to catch 15 Gleebous fish to be rewarded with the Blade of Gorp rod.<\/p>\n

Where is Glorp?<\/span><\/h4>\n

Glorp stands by a crashed UFO at Roslit Bay at the coordinates: 1521, 141, 333<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Where is Dr Crookspine?<\/span><\/h4>\n

He is located in the Laboratory to the North of Roslit Bay.<\/p>\n
