Always keen to dive into the franchise, I struggled with the horror aspect, ironically, since horror movies are my favorite genre. The difference lies in controlling the action, which ramps up the stress. Everything changed after exploring the Silent Hill franchise, a stepping stone to overcoming my fear. Still, there are limits; games like Outlast remain untouched.

With newfound courage, I dusted off my Resident Evil 2 Remake and started playing. The survival horror elements felt familiar, and suddenly, they weren’t as terrifying. I’d cracked the code; I could finally handle horror games. Fast forward, and I’ve completed Resident Evil 4 and am partway through the Separate Ways DLC. Reflecting on my hours in RE2 and RE4, Resident Evil 3 Remake comes to mind. Surprisingly short, I craved more despite its action-packed nature, joining a chorus of fans noting its brevity.

Jill Valentine shines as a protagonist in RE3 Remake, but the original offered more content, diminishing the remake’s potential. With fewer puzzles and more combat, the change was initially refreshing but eventually felt lacking due to the removal of additional endings.

The chemistry between Jill and Carlos added spark to the game, their camaraderie strong despite initial differences. While I enjoyed RE3 Remake, comparing it to RE2 and RE4 reveals its shortcomings. As a Leon Kennedy enthusiast, my preference might lean towards his saga, yet the concise nature and missed opportunities in RE3 Remake contribute to its place lower on my list.

Character development across the series is compelling. Watching Leon transform from a rookie to a grizzled hero is intriguing, piquing my interest for future entries like Resident Evil 9. Jill is already strong in RE3 Remake, her resilience unwavering even after infection—a testament to her character, yet lacking the depth seen in others like Leon or Claire.

Deciding between RE2 and RE4 as favorites is challenging, both setting a high bar in different ways. This admiration highlights my disappointment with RE3 Remake. As a newcomer who’s only experienced the remakes, playing the originals is on my list. Recent purchases include original versions of RE4, RE0, RE5, RE6, and the RE1 Remaster. Resident Evil 6 holds a nostalgic place as my first encounter with the series, despite its reputation. The journey continues, yet my honest take remains—RE3 Remake could’ve been much more.

Justice for Jill Valentine.

The post Is Resident Evil 3 The Weakest Remake? appeared first on Gamezebo.

[1

post-31884","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
