The first hurdle is choosing the best starter in Evomon. Through evolutions and encountering new Evomon across the map, the starter you pick only really matters for the first few areas.<\/p>\n
If you weren\u2019t aware, you can roll for Adventure Suits in Evomon, which, depending on the suit you get, can buff yourself or your Evomon. You can also sport the suit as you play Evomon by activating the cosmetic via your Profile menu.<\/p>\n
Evomon Best Starter<\/p>\n
While subjective, there is arguably a \u2018best option\u2019 when choosing your starter Evomon. I, personally, went with Leafbun, as the Grass-type moves made battles a walk in the park in Verdant Valley. If you didn\u2019t know, Grass-type moves are strong against Rock-type and Water-type Evomon. Both Verdant Valley and Petal Pond are abundant in these Evomon types.<\/p>\n
You don\u2019t encounter any of the element types that Leafbun is weak to until you reach Lava Crag, the third area, which has Fire-type Evomon. At this point, you\u2019ll have already built a decent beginner team.<\/p>\n
Picking Leafbun allowed me to quickly get additional Evomon to start building the rest of my team, farming battles until I eventually got S-rank versions of each one. Luckily, no matter the starter you go with, they will be SSS-rank; the best rank in the game.<\/p>\n
The Other Starters<\/p>\n
I\u2019ve gone over the best starter choice, but what about the other two?<\/p>\n
Bubble<\/p>\n
I will say, Bubble is my runner-up choice. While it\u2019s strong against Rock-type Evomon [useful in Verdant Valley against Pebbles], it won\u2019t make much of an impact until you get to the third area, Lava Crag.<\/p>\n
This location introduces the first Fire-type Evomon that you can battle against. Water-type Evomon are also weak to Grass-type moves, and there are lots of Budlings roaming around Verdant Valley, so beware.<\/p>\n
Blazpup<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t recommend going for Blazpup when choosing your starter. On a positive note, Fire-type Evomon are strong against Grass-types, which makes battle against the Budlings in Verdant Valley all the easier. However, that\u2019s where its initial advantages end.<\/p>\n
Whilst you\u2019re trying to build your first team, you won\u2019t encounter Bug-type, Ice-type, or Steel-type Evomon, which are all weak to Fire-type moves. Blazpup, being a Fire-type, is weak to Water-type and Rock-type moves, both of which are present in the first [Verdant Valley] and second [Petal Pond] areas.<\/p>\n
Starter Evolutions<\/p>\n
Each Evomon has three forms, equating to 2 evolutions. The evolution requirements differ depending on the Evomon, but all require level milestones, Evolution Stones, and Element Stones. The Element Stones you need match the Evomon\u2019s element type.<\/p>\n
