We are here to help you go from being broke to breaking gems the size of terraced houses. It’s all about working smarter, not harder. Time to give you some tips on how to get rich in Mine A Mountain.

## How To Get Rich In Mine A Mountain – Useful Tips For Poor Miners

Okay, time to run over the tips.

### Scavenge Like A Gem Raccoon

Okay, we’re not proud of this, but sometimes you do need to channel your inner Jimothy and go through the trash. That is, look through the piles of crystal cast-offs left behind by rich players mining ahead of you. If a mountain has been active a while you’ll probably find tunnels and craters criss-crossing the mountain, and there are often full of ore that more wealthy players don’t see much need to pick up. (You can of course move in and start trying to mooch of crystals that richer players are actively digging up, but that is a good way to get shoved off a cliff.) Another man’s trash, something something.

—

### Don’t Neglect Your Backpack Size

The best crystals are big crystals. If you happen to find one, you want to be ready. This means taking the steps to upgrade your backpack capacity at the Upgrade stall at base. The game is a little lenient in letting you go a bit over capacity when picking up crystals sometimes, but if you want the good pickups then keep upgrading it whenever you get the chance.

—

### Agony Bombs. That’s it.

Agony Bombs are both expensive (about 60 million) and not often stocked in the Bomb Shop. When they are, and if you have the money, you should buy however many are available. Agony Bombs will explode a spiky wheel out of the mountainside, and drop crystals that can value into the billions. They’re also really hard to miss, so if you see one of the distinctive spiky wheels nearby, you know that someone detonated an Agony Bomb there’s some extremely high value stuff there. Conversely if YOU are detonating an Agony Bomb, you’ll get more for your money if you do it in a private server… for exactly the same reason.

—

### Know Your Boulders

We’re working on a specific guide on this as we speak, but as a general tip, make sure you know about boulders, and carry a range of bombs on your person in case you run into one. Boulders are different colored rocks that require specific equipment to break. For some, it’s a certain level of pickaxe, while others need specific elemental bomb types to break them. These often contain very valuable ores inside, far more than the surrounding rock.

Just be aware that if you’re not equipped to break the boulder the first time, they can be very tricky to find on your return.

—

### Admin Abuse

If all else fails, make sure you wait around for the Admin Abuse. This usually takes place on a Saturday around 2pm UTC, according to the wiki. This is an event where the admins show up to hype the new update, and grant freebies to attendees. Expect a big profit from lurking around while this is running. As with Agony Bombs, private server might be optimal for this, if you have access to one.

—

Hope you’re feeling better equipped!
