So let\u2019s explain how they work with this guide to Mine A Mountain boulders.<\/p>\n<h2>Complete Guide To Mine A Mountain Boulders<\/h2>\n<h3>What Are Boulders?<\/h3>\n<p>Boulders are large, difficult to shatter rocks that you can find while digging in Mine A Mountain. These things are a fairly recent addition, and are currently one of the best ways to add to your cash total\u2026 if you have a pickaxe that\u2019s solid enough to tackle them. The different types have minimum pickaxe levels. You\u2019ll need to have that pickaxe, or one more powerful than that. (That is, further to the right of it at the Pickaxe Stall at Base.)<\/p>\n<p>Here are the ones in-game right now.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mossite<\/strong><br \/>Minimum pickaxe required: Titanium Spike<\/li>\n<li><strong>Voltite <\/strong><br \/>Minimum pickaxe required: Celestial Apex<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gildrite<\/strong><br \/>Minimum pickaxe required: Eclipse Fang<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rimeveil <\/strong><br \/>Minimum pickaxe required: Voidreign<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nocturnite <\/strong><br \/>Minimum pickaxe required: The Terminus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Something you should keep in mind is boulders can take a LONG time to break, even if you have a good pickaxe. Most crystals have nothing on them. With that in mind, you really want to start on them when you have plenty of time left. You should also keep an eye out for any other players lurking around looking to swipe you hard earned loot from under your nose.<\/p>\n<h3>What Do Boulders Drop?<\/h3>\n<p>Boulders drop a good selection of rare crystals when cracked. More importantly, they drop Runes, something you don\u2019t get from bombs or bomb veins. Runes are items that you can place in your plot to give you timed buffs to stats, like your Luck, or the weight you can carry. They are extremely useful, and a good reason to get cracking.<\/p>\n<h3>How To Find Boulders<\/h3>\n<p>There are two ways to find boulders.<\/p>\n<p>The first, most obvious, and least efficient is just running into them while digging. They\u2019ll appear as large rocks within the rock. Unlike Bomb Veins, which are pretty vividly coloured, boulders can blend in pretty well with the rest of the rock, especially in the dark. It\u2019s easy to dig up a boulder and completely miss it.<\/p>\n<p>For this reason, and their general scarcity, the best way to locate one is with a Boulder Radar. You can purchase these from the Radar Shop at the base. Like most of the valuable items in Mine A Mountain, Boulder Radars aren\u2019t in stock all the time, so you should buy them when you can find them. Once you acquire one, you can activate it for 30 seconds. In this time, it will highlight any boulders within a certain radius of you, as well as tell you what kind it is.<\/p>\n<p>With it active, you can try making tunnels between the boulders you want to tackle, revealing them enough you won\u2019t just lose them. This is better done in a private server though\u2026 to avoid anyone moving in on your finds.
