For casual players who aren’t up-to-date with developer communications, this might be confusing. The face on the sun is a countdown to Update 30, marking a major revamp of the First Sea. Once the timer reaches zero, the update arrives and features a completely remade map.<\/p>\n
But why a face? It symbolizes the end times for the current First Sea, as it’s being replaced by a new version. You can’t reach the sun face, even with flight powers, as it is part of the skybox. If you can’t see it, it may simply be night; it tracks the sun and appears only during daytime, fading in before dawn.<\/p>\n
