A fresh teaser has been released for *Good Fortune*, the forthcoming comedy helmed by Aziz Ansari, providing an initial glimpse of Keanu Reeves as Ansari’s unexpected guardian angel.

After taking on menacing roles in films like *The Devil’s Advocate* and *Constantine*, Reeves swaps out horns for wings in *Good Fortune*, portraying a down-on-his-luck, budget-conscious guardian angel. The teaser, unveiled today by Lionsgate Movies, showcases the film’s quirky vibe and ensemble cast, offering audiences a sneak peek at the star-studded comedy set to grace theaters later this year.

The trailer begins like numerous feel-good comedies, with Angel Gabriel (Keanu Reeves) inquiring, “Martha, is there a chance I could take on more significant responsibilities?” He adds, “I want to guide individuals; I aim to transform their lives.” Martha (Sandra Oh) informs him that in order to save a soul, Gabriel must first locate one that is lost.

Shift to Arj (Aziz Ansari), a package delivery driver gearing up for his shift. Perched atop a Denny’s, Gabriel identifies his intended soul and promptly introduces himself. “Arj, my name is Gabriel, and I’m here to rescue you!” he proclaims. A bewildered Arj responds, “What? Who the f*** are you? How do you know my name?”

*Good Fortune* boasts a remarkable cast and is produced by Lionsgate Movies. Ansari makes his directorial debut and also takes on the role of producer, alongside executive producers Anthony Katagas, Jonathan McCoy, Christopher Woodrow, Connor DiGregorio, and Alan Yang.

*Good Fortune* features Keanu Reeves as a well-meaning yet somewhat clumsy angel named Gabriel, who interferes in the lives of struggling gig worker Arj and affluent venture capitalist Jeff (Seth Rogen). The film also includes a cast rounded out by Sandra Oh, Keke Palmer, Stephen McKinley Henderson, and Joe Anoa’i (recognized as WWE Superstar Roman Reigns).

Lionsgate is set to release *Good Fortune* in theaters on October 17, 2025.
