

Netflix has officially revealed a live-action version of Ubisoft’s renowned video game franchise, Assassin’s Creed, which is set to launch as a Netflix Original. This revelation represents the culmination of almost five years of development since the alliance between Netflix and Ubisoft was forged in 2020. The series will be led by Emmy nominees Roberto Patino and David Wiener, who will take on the roles of creators, showrunners, and executive producers. The initiative is also supported by Ubisoft Film & Television’s Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, Austin Dill, and Matt O’Toole.
Peter Friedlander, Netflix’s Vice President of Scripted Series, shared his excitement regarding the endeavor, underlining the commitment and teamwork that have contributed to bringing the Assassin’s Creed world to fruition.
