While Autumn may be on the horizon, HP continues to honor a summer filled with gaming through a plethora of innovative technology that is certain to delight.
CGM participated in a digital press event where Haval Othman, Senior Director of Experience Engineering for HP Gaming, provided journalists with a comprehensive overview of several new products being introduced. “At HP Gaming Solution, we subscribe to a straightforward principle,” Othman remarked, adding, “we are all gamers, and that conviction informs everything we undertake.” Othman stated that design is centered around a “3P Pillar framework,” which encompasses: Performance, Personalization, and Play.
The initial product showcased was HP’s OMEN Max 45L Desktop. Othman claimed that this is HP’s most potent gaming desktop to date. When fully powered, the OMEN Max 45L features an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor reaching a maximum boost clock of 5.7 GHz, 128MB L3 cache, and 16 cores (32 threads). This power is complemented by an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Graphics Card with 32 GB GDDR7 Memory.
What truly distinguishes the OMEN Max 45L Desktop, however, is its industry-leading, patented CRYO CHAMBER cooling system. Othman explained that this unique thermal architecture isolates heat-generating components from other parts of the system, leading to a reduction in overall internal temperature. This design promotes enhanced overall performance and extends hardware longevity. In addition, the system has been reconfigured for optimal airflow, yielding a two-degree decrease in GPU temperature.
According to Othman, the standout feature is the system’s fully modular 1200W PSU that provides both fan management and auto-fan cleaning capabilities. The cooling system also includes an LCD display that can be customized via the OMEN Gaming Hub. HP’s OMEN Max 45L will incorporate “OMEN AI,” which employs machine learning to optimize CPU performance according to the game being played and its settings.
In conjunction with the OMEN Max 45L, HP is also launching two updated OMEN 35L Gaming Laptops. Both will support up to an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card, but the OMEN 35L Stealth Edition features a streamlined and minimalist design that suits both work and play. As Othman humorously observed, “You know, my wife always believes I’m just gaming at home, and I assure her I’m not. I’m merely compiling my codes, but the burst of RGB lighting gives the impression I’m perpetually gaming!”
Transitioning from hardware to accessories, Othman showcased the latest series of HyperX Cloud wireless headsets. “Every gamer deserves equipment that can keep pace—an immersive headset to remain focused on the action, a crystal-clear microphone so your voice can be heard, and an intuitive software interface that enhances and personalizes the experience,” said Othman. The first headset, the HyperX Cloud Alpha 2, features 53mm dual-chamber drivers, offers up to 250 hours of battery life in 2.4 GHz mode, and is constructed from durable lightweight material.
The HyperX Cloud Alpha 2 also leverages HyperX NGENUITY software along with P’s first reprogrammable RGB Base Station integrated into a wireless gaming headset. Following Alpha’s theme of customization, the new HyperX Cloud Flight 2 delivers a dynamic personalization experience complete with full RGB panels, detachable earcup plates, and extended battery life across PC, PlayStation, or mobile. The Official Xbox-licensed HyperX CloudX Flight 2 introduces additional compatibility for Xbox users.
Lastly, Othman discussed HP’s new range of HyperX Microphones: the HyperX FlipCast and the HyperX SoloCast 2. The HyperX Flipcast is a dynamic USB and XLR microphone, enabling creators to record in various ways within a studio-ready format designed to adapt with their setups. Furthermore, the Flipcast can record at a 32-bit depth, 192 kilohertz. In contrast, the SoloCast 2 offers similar quality, but with streamlined sound and compact flexibility for everyday users.
