Disney has released the primary trailer for the highly awaited anime adaptation of “Twisted Wonderland,” promising an enchanting experience reminiscent of its mobile game roots. For those who are not aware, “Twisted Wonderland” uniquely merges Disney charm with anime visuals, where legendary Disney villains are reimagined as handsome characters attending a prestigious magical institution.

The original mobile game, recognized for its rhythm and combat features, showcases students living in dormitories inspired by notorious Disney villains such as Maleficent, Jafar, and the Queen of Hearts. The anime’s inaugural episode, “Heartslabyul,” centers around the dorm associated with the Queen of Hearts, a narrative that has been previously adapted into a manga.

The universe of “Twisted Wonderland” is depicted as a realm where players, called forth by a magical mirror, find themselves at Night Raven College. This mystical academy is home to skilled yet troubled students, and players must maneuver through the school’s competitive atmosphere while searching for a route back home.

Produced by Yumeta Company and Graphinica, with Takahiro Natori in charge, the anime’s first season, titled “Chapter of Heartslabyul,” will feature eight episodes. Enthusiasts can anticipate its debut on Disney+ on October 29, 2025.
