CCP Games has launched Equinox, the latest expansion to EVE Online with features from new flyable ships, a Ship SKINR Tool, a refined Star System, and many more!

Today, EVE Online has received a new expansion titled Equinox, a major update to the 21-year-old MMO Online game with many new features and improvements. From redefining the Star System, Corporation Projects and AIR Daily Goals to introducing Nullsec Colony Operation, new flyable ships, and SKINR Tools to create your ship skins, this is a massive addition to help improve the game and bring the communities together. 

One of the biggest updates to EVE Online: Equinox is the Nullsec Colony Operation. As the corporation and alliance leader works to build new Upwell structures, some of the key features included are the orbital skyhook, sovereignty hub, and a Metenox moon drill to extract resources automatically and defend the sovereignty space. Alongside the features included in the Nullsec Colony Operation, a Sovereignty upgrade allows pilots to improve and customize their space by detecting previously undiscovered ores and providing challenging combat.     

Another update to arrive on EVE Online: Equinox is the Star System being refined as the planets are now essential to each system’s functions in the Nullsec space location. Players will need to collect planetary resources to run and upgrade the Upwell Structures, and different resources will be available for each system but players may have to expand their influence to reach their goal whether it’s through diplomacy or warfare. The choice is yours to make.   

Moving on from the refined Star System, EVE Online: Equinox will receive four new industrial ships as they explore the space. The ships to be included in the new expansion are:

• The Squalls – A versatile I hauler
• Deluge – A sleek tech II blockade runner
• Torrent – A robust tech II deep space transport
• Avalanche – The largest freighter from the Upwell line 

For the first time after 21 years, as we stick to the subject of ships, EVE Online: Equinox will allow players to customize their ship SKINs using the SKINR Tool. As it opens a new career line for artists, they will have a wide range palette of design elements and customizable options for players to create whatever their heart desires. Not to mention, custom SKINs can soon be tradable with other players via PLEX or ISK to help boost the economy and open a new career line in New Eden as an artist or trader of arts.    

Lastly, the Corporation Projects and AIR Daily Goal have been improved. For Corporation Projects, leaders could motivate their members through enhanced projects. Some of the projects include Ship Loss, Earning Loyalty Points, and Salvaging. Moving on to AIR Daily Goal, it will now offer a monthly reward and a 12-step progression system as a way to reward hard-working players of EVE Online who dedicate their lives to New Eden and completing goals.

For those who are interested in EVE Vanguard, CCP Games has released details about the next time-limited live event called Solstice. Currently, it is in early development and the next event will be revealed later this month for the Founder Access members.
