Resonant’s New Game++ Update Fixes Annoying Bugs, Including Magic Doors Changing Character Trousers

Trippy hack ‘n’ slash sequel (and, for the benefit of anyone planning for this year’s Advent Calendar guessing game in the RPS Discord, my current second-favouritest game of 2026) Control Resonant has a big old update out today. As declassified by Remedy, it not only adds the pledged New Game++ mode for plus-deficient game replayers, but makes absolutely bloody loads of smaller bug fixes and quality of life tweaks.

“Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave Includes a Wealth of Non-Combat Elements That Could Lessen Involvement”

### The Challenges of Captivating Gameplay in *Fortune’s Weave*

Two weeks into *Fortune’s Weave*, players might notice a troubling pattern: the inclination to nod off during gameplay sessions, especially in the less eventful segments. This occurrence isn’t tied to specific characters or significant battles but emerges during the lulls spent on training, dungeon exploration, or engaging in less thrilling tasks. Although the game possesses numerous attractive features, this pacing dilemma presents a considerable drawback.

#### A Gradual Beginning

*Fortune’s Weave* seeks to slowly acclimate players to its vast universe, and many enthusiasts have observed that the tempo accelerates once players enter part two of the narrative. Nevertheless, reaching this shift can be a monotonous endeavor, potentially spanning 15-30 hours of gameplay that may seem dull for those aiming to develop several characters concurrently.

The preliminary gameplay can feel laborious, as players partake in repetitive tasks without meaningful rewards or challenges. The clash mechanic, intended to enrich the combat system, can frequently result in mindless skirmishes lacking in engagement.

#### The Clash System: A Mixed Blessing

The integration of clashes, which operate akin to conventional turn-based RPG battles, was initially perceived as a novel strategy to gamify encounters while avoiding overwhelming players with lengthy fights. However, initial experiences indicate that clashes can become tedious. Players often find themselves merely trading hits with foes, rendering the combat less tactical and more of a chore.

Although there are occasions in the story where clashes can deliver intense and thrilling encounters, such as the bounties in Dietrich’s tale featuring formidable opponents, these moments are, regrettably, infrequent. The vast majority of clashes tend to diminish the overall experience, interrupting gameplay with mundane and cyclical tasks.

#### The Prospect for Enhancement

As players navigate part one of each lord’s narrative, there is still hope that the action and challenge will become more enticing in the later phases of the game. *Fortune’s Weave* features a mesmerizing world and an engaging storyline, with delightful characters that attract players. However, the sluggish pace during the opening hours can hinder overall enjoyment, leaving players yearning for a more dynamic experience.

In conclusion, while *Fortune’s Weave* presents intriguing world-building and characters worthy of attention, it may improve from a more balanced pacing in the early stages. Players anticipate a shift toward increasingly captivating gameplay as they delve deeper into the fascinating story, instead of catching up on rest during those slower segments.
