Which Rods Can You Wish for in Fisch

As of December 9th, the Fischmas update hasn’t fully rolled out, so all we have to go off is leaks from the Discord. This means we don’t yet know which Rods make the lineup. To find out, I recommend coming back on December 13th and checking for updates to this guide.

Whilst this is annoying and disappointing, we do know what Rods won’t make the wishlist! This includes Dev Rods, Creator Rods, and Exclusive Rods (From events past).

Also, players can only wish for Rods within their level range. This means you could get a Rod that’s a much higher level than you, entirely for free. Though there is a catch. All puns intended! You’ll need to first reach the level requirement to use it; before then, it’ll just remain in your inventory.

How To Wish For Rods

When Fischmas rolls out on December 13th, players will get a letter addressed to Santa which reads:

“Dear Santa, For Fischmas I want: ______, Sinscerely [Player Name]. Merry Fischmas!”

Leaks haven’t yet disclosed how players get this letter. It may be a quest reward, or maybe you’ll simply need to speak with the Santa NPC to get it.

After choosing your Rod, it’ll hopefully be granted as a reward between December 13th and December 25th!

Frequently Asked Questions

• Q: Can I wish for any rod?
  • A: No. Rods such as Developer Rods, Exclusive Rods, and Creator Rods will not make the Fischmas Wishlist.
• Q: What happens if I wish for a rod that’s above my level requirement to use?
  • A: If your Rod wish is granted, the Rod will remain in your inventory until you reach the level requirement to use it. For this reason, I don’t recommend wishing for Rods that are level rewards, such as the No-Life Rod at Level 500, etc.
• Q: Which Rod should I wish for?
  • A: That depends on your current progression. It’s assumed that the Rod you’re allowed to wish for will be tied to your current in-game level. If this is true, I recommend level grinding between now and December 13th so that you get better Rod options.
