Around this time last year, *Helldivers 2* captured players’ attention with its engaging gameplay, highlighted by encounters against the dreaded squishy squids. These creatures have since posed a significant threat to Super Earth, urging players to strategize and collaborate in their missions.

In late 2024, the game faced challenges regarding player perceptions of gear pricing, especially with the introduction of a *Killzone* crossover. This collaboration generated a backlash due to its perceived high costs, prompting Arrowhead, the game’s developers, to rectify the situation by offering the final components of the crossover for free.

As of December 18th, the *Killzone* gear will make its return to the in-game store, revamped in a new warbond format. This time, the entire set will be available for a total of 1500 super credits, rather than being sold as individual pieces that added up to a considerable expense. Players who previously purchased any portion of this gear will receive the new warbond in their inventory at no additional cost, while newcomers or those who received the gear for free will need to pay the 1500 super credits.

The warbond includes three key firearms: the StA-52 Assault Rifle, known for its drum magazine; the StA-11 SMG, designed for close combat; and the PLAS-39 Accelerator Rifle, which offers precision and charge-based attacks. Accompanying these weapons are two armor sets: the AC-1 Dutiful gear and the AC-2 Obedient outfit, both equipped with the Acclimated passive ability that grants 50% resistance to various forms of damage such as fire, gas, acid, and electrical attacks. Additionally, players will receive the customary capes and paints to personalize their characters.

Looking ahead, while the *Killzone* warbond is set to arrive soon, hints from creative director Johan Pilestedt suggest that Arrowhead is experimenting with a roguelite mode for *Helldivers 2*. Although no official announcement has been made regarding its release, the community is eager for any new additions that enhance the gameplay experience.
