Guide to Unlocking the Chest in Dollhouse Bloodshed Using the Toy Block Code

How to Open the Chest in Dollhouse Bloodshed

After unlocking the second floor in the mansion, you find a room with a jumbled-up painting on the wall, a strange doll head with legs, and a doll standing on a set of drawers. Creepy stuff. In the middle of this room, by the wall, there’s a table. On this table, there are three toy blocks with letters on each side, a dollhead candle, and a locked chest.

To unlock this chest, you need to move the toy blocks so that the correct letters are at the front. To save you time, the required letters are ‘EVA’. Once you turn the toy blocks to spell out ‘EVA’, the chest unlocks.

Where to Find the Code

The code, ‘EVA’, is written on a note on the first floor. To find it, you need to visit the room with the black and white TV. Look at the sofa to see a piece of paper next to a corpse, which is the Crumbly Note. Interacting with this paper displays the note on screen, which reads:

“It will be dark. Don’t let the child near you. It will cry for her… for EVA

It’s a bit cryptic at first, especially if you find it before the toy block puzzle. Luckily, the code is the same during each playthrough.

What’s Inside the Chest?

The Bathroom Key is hidden inside the chest. The Bathroom Key unlocks the bathroom on the first floor. In here, you can find the Letter Opener on a table, which is the required tool to cut the square out of the painting in the dining room.
