Races kickstart your build as one of the foundational features in the game for enhancements. All players begin as the humble Human, but with the use of nifty rerolls, you can become a whole new beast and dominate the servers.
So, stick around for my guide covering the best Races for Sword and Melee users in Sailor Piece. Let’s get into it!
Best Races For Sword and Melee Users in Sailor Piece
This article is up to date as of March 27th, 2026. [MASSIVE UPD]
Sword Users Race
- Swordblessed (Mythical)
- +80% Max HP
- +75% DMG
- +20% Sword DMG Multi
- +3% Lifesteal
- +10% DMG Reduction
The only thing this Race does better than the Melee option is its Sword affinity and a higher Lifesteal. Lifesteal allows the player to regain some HP during combat by siphoning it from the enemies they attack.
This kills enemies quicker on average, whilst helping the player stay alive longer. Alongside the HP and DMG buffs, this Race is incredibly well-rounded.
Other than this, it’s your standard high-buffing Race with a push for Sword DMG.
Melee Users Race
- Warlord (Mythical)
- +85% Max HP
- +80% DMG
- +22% Melee DMG Multi
- +2% Lifesteal
- +10% DMG Reduction
Whilst this Race overall has a higher affinity for universal stats compared to the Sword Race, it’s focus on Melee DMG Multis makes it the ideal choice for Spec mains.
As each buff is percentile, they scale with your existing stats, meaning the Warlord Race is only as valuable as you allow it to be. For example, if you have 500,000 HP, the +85% buff will increase this to 925,000! This logic also applies to the Sword Users’ Race. I mention it only now since Warlord is currently the highest performing Race in the entire game.
How To Get Race Rerolls
Race Rerolls drop by any Boss in the game with a high frequency (sometimes a 100% rate). They also have a chance to drop from mob NPCs, but the chance is significantly slimmer. Race Rerolls also appear in the Merchants store at Sailor Island.
Alternatively, try redeeming Sailor Piece Codes to get your hands on Rerolls without the grinding quickly.
When used, a Race Reroll applies a new Race via RNG, meaning your odds of rolling low are quite high. The exact chances per rarity are as follows:
- Common Race rerolls: 50% chance
- Uncommon Race rerolls: 30% chance
- Rare Race rerolls: 15% chance
- Epic Race rerolls: 4% chance
- Legendary Race rerolls: 1% chance
- Mythical Race rerolls: 0.5% chance
As of right now, there isn’t a pity system when rerolling, meaning you’ll have to stockpile and get lucky to unveil a desired Race.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: Are there any good Melee and Sword alternatives?
- A: Yes! Typically, all high-rarity Races have their place in the food chain. For example, the Galevorn Race is a great Melee alternative, offering fruitful buffs that just slide below what the Warlord offers.
