Crema, the studio behind the creature-collecting adventure Temtem, has unveiled a new spin-off named “Temtem: Pioneers”. This new endeavor steps away from the original’s Archipelago environment, sending players to the wild Downbelow area. Renowned for its freely roaming Temtem and limitless exploration chances, Downbelow serves as an exciting backdrop for this upcoming game.
In contrast to its predecessor, Temtem: Pioneers moves away from its Pokémon-inspired RPG origins. It adopts a gameplay approach similar to Palworld, featuring mechanics like creature collection, survival, and dynamic action combat. Additional aspects encompass base building, multiplayer options, and more, ensuring diverse gameplay experiences.
This announcement signifies Crema’s third attempt at a Temtem spin-off. Earlier efforts include Temtem: Showdown, a multiplayer battleground that ended in 2024, and Temtem: Swarm, a title influenced by Vampire Survivors. With the main Temtem game wrapping up development in 2024 and the elimination of its live-service and monetization elements, Crema is concentrating on new ventures.
The release schedule for Temtem: Pioneers has yet to be revealed, but development will be partially supported by a Kickstarter campaign. Enthusiasts look forward to more information on this captivating new chapter in the Temtem universe.
