Detonating demon tissue, barrage of bullets ballet, farm-fresh RPG skirmishes—whatever game you’re inclined to dive into, one of the titles listed below is sure to satisfy. Here are the games we suggest you explore, and which we are personally excited to return to this weekend.
Saros
Available on: PS5
I’ve completed Saros twice already and crave more. I desire more horrifying bullet-hell monsters hurling vibrant orbs at me while I dash around and unleash my auto-targeting assault rifle on them. My thoughts race as I ponder its reflective cosmic horror mystery narrative. Now that everyone else is diving in, I can at least enjoy it through their experiences, and you could be among them! In fact, I strongly encourage you to be one of them this weekend. If the difficulty intimidates you, Saros offers numerous options that enable you to customize its challenges to your preference, so even if you set down Returnal, you may find a better experience with its spiritual successor. – Kenneth Shepard
Dosa Divas
Available on: PC, Switch, PlayStation, Xbox
I had intended to explore more of Dosa Divas when it debuted earlier this month than I actually did, but I inadvertently got sidetracked by Tomodachi Life and Titanium Court. With those rather niche games behind me, I’m eager for a pleasant, uncomplicated RPG. Dosa Divas hails from the creator of Thirsty Suitors and Falcon Age, featuring the lively colors and whimsical design I’ve come to anticipate from them. You take on the role of two sisters navigating in a culinary mech, cooking and serving dosas to inhabitants in a world where the majority of meals are bland, processed, capitalist gruel. I look forward to indulging in this and then getting extremely hungry and driving to the sole dosa restaurant in town, which is approximately 40 minutes away, for a late-night dosa and chai (yes, it’s open that late). – Rebekah Valentine
Dragon’s Dogma 2
Available on: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S
When it released, I perceived Dragon’s Dogma 2 as both enchanting and frustrating. Its fantasy realm was immensely engaging; I particularly appreciate how, once night descends, you can be enveloped in genuine and utter darkness as a multitude of stars reveals itself overhead, the kind of night you only encounter in reality when
