We’re big fans of Mulberry County here. We’ve already walked you through Volume I, and discussed our thoughts on the Fallen Angels. Today it’s a slightly more seasonal thing, the Mulberry County Easter event. It just went live as of Sunday, and promises the perfect event for people who love Easter egg hunts, and horrifying abominations that want to eat them. We enjoy both, so let’s go.
### Starting The Easter Event
Taking part in the Easter hunt is pretty easy. Open up Mulberry County and pass the intro, until you get to the menu screen with the tapes and the TV. You should find a tape in front of the TV that reads ‘Easter Event’. Select that to insert it into the TV. Now you’re ready to start playing.
### The Objective
The goal of the Easter Event is pretty simple. You spawn into a dark forest area. Your goal is to collect ten red Easter eggs that are hidden around the place. Once you’ve found ten, you’re done. The eggs give off a faint gold glow, which makes them stand out against the grass and sky. Several of the eggs are on top of, or inside features on the map. One is on top of a climbable tower, another is inside a large hollow pipe on the ground. There are large painted eggs scattered round the map, but these are just decoration, and have nothing to do with your overall total.
You move around as you would in a normal Mulberry County playthrough, though you also get the Shift key (or an onscreen button) that lets you sprint. Sprinting drops your Stamina bar. If you have no Stamina left, you can no longer sprint. Walking or standing will cause the Stamina bar to fill up again.
### The Monsters
Just collect a bunch of eggs. Easy, right? Well… when you first start it’s pretty simple. Though, shortly after you pick up the first egg, you’ll get the ominous message
They Are Coming.
After that, a charming individual will start following you around, eager to take part in a hunt of its own. Not for eggs, though. If this thing catches up with you, static will start to cover up the picture on the screen. If it catches you, you’ll be immediately kicked from the game. (You can come back in, but you will have to start again.
As you progress, things will get harder.
– The monsters will become faster and it will take more stamina to escape them.
– There will be more than one monster moving around, and they can often cut off your escape, especially if your view is hidden by all of the static from one behind you. (Might have made that mistake.)
### What Do You Get For Completing The Event?
If you can find all ten eggs, you’ll get a few things. Aside from bragging rights (the most important thing) you’ll also get a special title, and the ‘That wasn’t so hard!’ Roblox badge… which currently sits at 1.8%, or Insane, completion rate at the time of writing. This implies that it is, in fact, that hard.
