So, let’s cut to the chase and tell you what you came for.
The BEST Power Fruit in Slime RNG
In my humble opinion, after plenty of testing, I can confidently say the Lightning Fruit is the best Power Fruit in Slime RNG.
I know, this seems like an ill-informed claim considering it’s the MOST common Fruit, but that works to its advantage.
The Lightning Fruit (1 in 20) has an upgrade skill tree tailored to whooping enemies, with its complementary skill, Chain Lightning, allowing your slime to attack ALL enemies within radius. As of the update adding Power Fruits (May 13th, 2026), this is the only fruit with an AoE attack.
But AoE isn’t everything, which is why Lightning also has the damage to back it up. After all, Fruit Powers only exist as extensions of Food EXP for additional DMG. At the maximum level, Lightning Fruit applies +32% DMG to your Slime and its Chained Lightning attack. This is the highest DMG multiplier currently of all Power Fruits.
The only one that comes close is Fire, but this one lacks a solid AoE skill, so I think it serves as a good runner-up instead.
How Power Fruits Work
Once unlocked via the Food Upgrade Tree (after buying the Hotdog -> Power Fruit upgrade), you’ll occasionally have these devilish fruits fall from the sky, unveiling a unique power to apply to one of your Slimes.
Unlike Food EXP, Power Fruits do not level up your Slimes. They’re a permanent fixture, with no current way to transfer or remove Power Fruits from Slimes. So, choose wisely.
After a Slime consumes the Power Fruit, they gain an Upgrade Tree of its own, where you can invest Levels and more Power Fruits of the same type to upgrade its DMG.
The Level investment scales from the current level of your Slime. For example, a Level 7 Slime will have 7 Levels to invest. This does NOT remove your Slime levels. If you invest 3 into an upgrade, you will have 4 remaining. If you level up the Slime to Level 8, you will then have 5 Level currency to invest, as you gained another one for the new level.
Power Fruit investments mean giving your Slime more of the same fruit. Typically, this begins at x3 of the same type. This DOES consume the Fruits from your inventory, and therefore, they cannot be given to a different Slime.
