### Helldivers 2 and Horizon Forbidden West Disappear from Steam UK
Recently, notable titles **Helldivers 2** and **Horizon Forbidden West** have mysteriously vanished from the Steam store in the UK. This unexpected development has seemingly caught even their publisher, PlayStation, off guard. In response, PlayStation has issued a statement confirming that they are currently in discussions with Valve to restore the games to availability.
Despite the disappearances from the Steam store, players in the UK who already own these titles can still access and play them. However, for potential new buyers or those looking to purchase downloadable content (DLC), the situation proves inconvenient. The store listings for both games have been replaced by a message stating, “An error was encountered while processing your request: This item is currently unavailable in your region.” Consequently, UK users unable to acquire the games at this time.
A Sony spokesperson acknowledged the situation, saying, “We are aware of an issue affecting the availability of select titles on Steam in the UK. We are working with Valve to address the issue. We apologise for the inconvenience.” This indicates that both companies are actively working towards a resolution.
According to findings from SteamDB, it appears that the UK, along with the Isle of Man and Great Britain, has been added to the list of regions where **Helldivers 2** and **Horizon Forbidden West** are not available for purchase. These changes occurred on **September 16**.
The cause of this sudden restriction remains unclear, but it may relate to Sony’s typical practice of limiting their games to regions where their PlayStation Network (PSN) services are operational. This is particularly relevant since PC players are often required to link a PSN account to access some functionalities of these titles. Recent examples, such as **Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls**, have illustrated similar restrictions, yet neither **Helldivers 2** nor **Horizon Forbidden West** had previously been barred from sale in the UK, where PSN services are fully functional.
